On July 14, 1949 the sun rose and a baby boy was born "Willie Lee Johnson" to Arthur Lee Johnson and Bertha Jean Moffett Johnson. On March 27, 2013 the sun set for the last time for the baby boy.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Martin Johnson; mother, Bertha Jean Carter; grandparents, Willie and Ella Mae Cathey; four brothers, Kenneth Johnson Sr., Robert Johnson Sr., Arthur Glasco and Perry Thompson.

Willie was affectionately called "Redd" by all who knew him.

Redd confessed a belied in Christ at an early age with the St. Paul Baptist Church under the late Reverend Boyd Hansborough. He later re-dedicated his life with St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Melvin Manor, where he served until his home going.

Redd graduated from L. C. Anderson High School in 1967. He was employed with the University of Texas (in Transportation), owner and operator of his own trucking company. He also was employed at Bill Doran Company, wholesale florist. Redd lived his life to the fullest, and he loved traveling and fishing.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Mary Johnson; son: Anthony Johnson, Christopher Johnson (Tasha); four grandchildren: Donte Brown, Anthony Lawrence Johnson, Deandre Johnson, Kaiyai Johnson; father: Arthur Lee Johnson Sr. (Edna), Jereen Johnson; sisters: Annis "Dorine" Harris, Ella White, Wanda Stoglin, Pam Stoglin, Vanessa Hunter, Shelia Ray (Cyfers), Elsie Jones (Kevin), Cecilia Glasco; brothers: Charles Johnson Sr. (Linda), James Johnson Sr., Phillip Glasco (Susan), Floyd Glasco (Tina), Julian Glasco (Mary) Gary Johnson, Arthur Lee Johnson Jr. (LaShonda), Larry Johnson, Edward Shephard; sisters-in-law: Linda Johnson and Maisie Turner; three aunts: Betty Jones (Fred), Gladys Miller, Mildred Moffett; one uncle: Alford Moffett; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
