Frances Marie Baker was born to the late William and Jewel Winston Baker on April 13, 1941 in El Paso, Texas. She entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.

She attended Austin Public Schools and later in life Modern Barber College where she became a licensed barber.

She united in holy matrimony to the late James B. Smith, Jr., and to this union two daughters were born.

Frances loved the Lord and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She was a faithful church member until her health failed. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews dearly and had a special love for her two great nieces, Laila and London. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers Curtis Baker, Billy Joe Baker, Johnny Baker, Otis Baker, Wilford Baker and sister, Rosemary Baker.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories two daughters, Pamela Paredes (Richard), Debra Westcarth (Osmond); two brothers, Bobby Baker and Mark Baker (Kaye), two sisters, Ruby Jewel Baker and Carolyn Diane Baker; one aunt, Annie Mae Davidson; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
