Jafus Nathaniel Walker, Jr. was born on September 16, 1934, to Jafus Nathaniel Walker, Sr. and Zelma Prosser Walker. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age at the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Jafus attended public Schools and was a Star Athlete at the old Anderson High School in the Field of track and football where he received his High School Diploma. He was also involved in Community Sports where he coached, "The Bumble Bees" and "The Yellow Jackets" football teams. He enjoyed hunting fishing and horseback riding. Most of all, Jafus enjoyed family gatherings with lots of good food, playing dominos and telling tall tales. After 35 years of service at Brackenridge Hospital, he retired in 1989 as Laundry Manager, where he was a dedicated employee.

Jafus was united in marriage to Bobbie Jean Holman Walker on March 20, 1954 and to this union five daughters were born: Deborah Walker-Higgins, Patricia Walker Clark, Bridgett Denise thornton, Kimele Yvette Walker Clinton, and Dorothy Yvonne Walker.

Jafus was later united in marriage to Dorothy S. Taylor Bunton Walker on June 27, 1969 and to this union two sons were born: Jearold Patrick Bunton and Jafus Nathaniel Walker, III.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Dorothy S. Walker; daughters, Deborah and husband Timothy Higgins, Pat, Bridgett, Kimele, Dorothy, and sons Jearold and Jafus, III; step daughters Carolyn Robinson, Ida and husband Glenn Miller; step son Phillip Bunton who preceded him in death. Jafus leaves one brother, Juster Walker and his wife Dorothy; one sister, Katheryn Walker; his very special niece Adrienne and her husband Royal Johnson. He will be missed by 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, friends, and neighbors.
