Cynthia Yvonne Johns was the third child born to Charles McGown and Beatrice Johns Ware on February 24, 1959.

She was affectionately known as MAMA, BLACK GAL, BLACK CYN. She was born in North Austin where she attended Austin Public Schools. Cynthia was employed with Texas Home Health Care Industry dedicating over 10 years of service until her health failed. She was a very caring person who welcomed everyone into her home and heart. She loved to babysit all children in the neighborhood and she was loved by all who knew her and will truly be missed.

Cynthia was baptized at an early age at Blacks Memorial Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the late Rev. Alvin Patton. She was a member until her health declined. On June 1, 2012, Cynthia was called to eternal glory.

Preceding her in death were her father, mother, grandparents, one niece and one nephew.

She leaves to cherish her memory her soul mate for over 20 years, Thomas Buster; one brother, Andrew Johns of Beaumont, Texas; three sisters, Carolyn Jones, Mary Johns Cole (Norman), Tinmmy Johns, all of Austin, Texas; two handsome sons, Derrick Johns (Linda) of Longview, Texas and Domnic Johns of Dallas, Texas; one grandson that she raised as her own, Montrell Johns of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Montrell, Dakaila, Shinique, and LyJae Daulon , all of Austin, Texas; one great grand, Bailee of Austin, Texas; one favorite nephew (critter); one favorite Aunt, Josephine McGown; aunt Lola Monroe; her best friend Charlotte Young, all of Austin, Texas; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
