Sandra Elaine Jones Gardner was the third of four children born to B.C. Jones and Alzada Jones on November 5th, 1944.

She was preceded in death by her brother, George Edward Jones; father, B.C. Jones; mother, Alzada Jones; and sister, Joyce Marie Jones.

Sandra attended Anderson High School. She later went back to school and obtained her G.E.D.

She united with St. Peter's Methodist Church at an early age.

Sandra relocated to Houston, Texas, but moved back to Austin in 1994 to be with her family.

She later attended Promiseland Church for many years until her health failed.

She departed this life unexpectedly on June 7th, 2012 at 6:18 a.m. at Legend Oaks Healthcare Rehabilitation Facility.

Sandra was a loving dear sister, mother and aunt that loved her family very much. Sandra spent the rest of her life with her niece and family: Barbara, Marcie, Shatora, Michael, and Asalynne who took care of her for many years. Marcie and her children were much devoted to her care.

Sandra is survived by one son, Charles Anthony Henderson of Alanta, GA, one daughter, Yvonne Renee Henderson of Arlington, TX, two step sons, Lonnie L. Henderson (Melody) of DeSota, TX and James Henderson (Rochelle) of Houston, TX, two sisters, a devoted and caring sister, Barbara Carolyn Grayson (Willie E.) of Austin, TX, and Mary Jones of Austin, TX, four grandchildren, Stefne J. Henderson of Austin, TX, Jaquasia Shabria Golden of Lubbock, TX, Jeray C. Henderson of Dallas, TX, Uriah A Henderson of Houston, TX, four devoted and caring nieces, Kelli M. Walker (Darryl) of Killeen, TX, Elizabeth A. Jones, Marcie Fields-Gage, (Faithful and Dedicated Caretaker), Karal Genette Fields all of Austin, TX, two great nieces, Shatora L. Williams (Timothy) of Austin, TX, Asalynne S. Caldwell of Austin, TX, Daisa B. Walker of Killeen, TX, three great nephews, Johnathan Jones (Brandy), Michael A. Caldwell, Jr. both of Austin, TX, and Dante E. Walker of Killeen, TX, one great great nephew, Braylan Williams, two great great nieces, Italia Jones, Timmora Jones both of Austin, TX, and a host of relatives and friends.
