Anna Kerr was born in Austin, Texas to Willis Arnold and Lara Tee Houston of Austin, Texas on September 5, 1941.

Anna attended Austin Public Schools and graduated from L. C. Anderson High School.

Anna accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member at David Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Ralph Daniels. She was a faithful and dutiful member until her eyesight began to fail her. She also served on the church usher board, a position in which she loved.

Anna was employed by Hardin House at the University of Texas where she was a dedicated employee for 40 years.

She met and married Gene Turner who preceded her in death. Later, she married Roosevelt who also preceded her in death.

Anna Elizabeth Kerr departed this life on May 11, 2012. She is preceded in death by her other Lara Tee Houston and her daughter Vicki turner. Anna leaves to cherish her precious memories two brothers, John Arnold and Larry Houston; one son, Robert Turner; three daughters, Jean Turner, Thelma Kerr (Melvin) and Ida Kerr (Avery); her daughter of the heart, Evelyn Dibbles; a loving, very special, dedicated friend of many years, Wilford Garrett; extended family members, Poochi, Michael, Dwayne, Dennis, Anthony and Clifford; six grandchildren all of Austin, Texas; a special thanks to granddaughter Domeshia Dickson who was more like a daughter than a grandchild; ten great grandchildren; four adoptive daughters, Tena Roberson, Denise Lewis, Lainey Byrd, and Brittney Waldon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
