Anthony Moore was born December 18, 1952 to Bobbie L. Moore and Eddie B. Moore in Austin, Texas. He attended Austin Public schools and graduated from Johnston High School in 1971.

He further attended Sul Ross University. Until his health failed he was employed at Austin Supported Living Center (Austin State School) for 36 years.

Anthony accepted Christ at an early age and attended Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Austin, Texas. He was faithful in ministry as a greeter and participated on the core team. He was also a dedicated servant on the hospitality and food team during mid-week services. Anthony was very involved in the community with helping the youth as a mentor, a Boy Scout leader, and a member on the LBJ Booster Club from 2006 to 2009. He was often times considered a "second" dad to many.

He always had an encouraging word, sincere smile, and contagious laugh that touched so many people. Anthony was the definition of a true and righteous man of God. This was evident in the way he treated his family, friends, and even strangers. If you asked him at any time how he was doing, he always replied "I'm Blessed!" and he also never let you leave without him telling you "Love you man" or "Got Nothing But Love For Ya."

As scripture states in Luke 10:27 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself", Anthony exemplified this in the life that he lived.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Moore of Austin, Texas, father, Eddie B. Moore of Austin, Texas, brothers Kenneth Ray Moore and Ralph Alexander both of Austin, Texas. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

He leaves to cherish his memories; Mary Moore, his wife of 38 years, daughter Tiffany Moore of Dallas, Texas, son Jeremy Moore of Atlanta, Georgia, goddaughter Brandy Robinson (Ronnie Robinson) of Dallas, Texas, sister, Eddie Jean Ingram (James Ingram) of Albany, Georgia, sister Mamie Hill of Austin, Texas, brother Byron J. Moore of Austin, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
