Hattie Mae Davis was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1927 to Fannie Wingwood and Archie Wingwood in Palestine, Texas. She was baptized at an early age at Mary Chapel Baptist Church in Trinity, Texas.

Hattie moved to Austin in 1965 and moved her membership to the Mount Zion Baptist Church under the pastorship of Reverend S. A. Davis.

Her passion in life was her family and she greatly enjoyed her new great great 3 month old grandson "Big Boy." Her favorite hobby was fishing and her favorite TV Show was "Meet The Browns."

Hattie was preceded in death by her father: Archie Wingwood; mother: Fannie Wingwood; two sisters: Hazel Walker, Alberta Holley; one brother: John H. Wingwood; two sons: Robert Horton, Sr. , Curtis R. Davis, Sr.; and one daughter: Shirley M. Davis.

Hattie leaves to cherish her memories one daughter: Barbara J. Mulkey (Carnel Mulkey) of Austin, TX; grand children: Cynthia Horton of California, Robert Horton, Jr. of Austin, TX, Darwin Davis of Austin, TX, Brian K. Davis of Austin, TX, George W. Mulkey, Jr. of Houston, TX, Tracey Mulkey, Curtis R. Davis, Jr., Chris Mulkey, Lotoya Mulkey, LaTonya Mulkey, Tenisha Horton, Charles Horton all of Austin, TX; 18 great grandkids and 9 great-great grandkids, 1 sister Archie Lee Holley of Houston, TX; 1 great aunt: Louella Wingwood of Trinity, TX and also her extended family her dog--Blondie, host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
