Mozell Bernice Warner Taylor was born August 3, 1935 in Granger, Texas to Johnnie Warner and Eunice (White)Warner. Mozell attended Crispus Attucus High School of Granger and graduated with high honors. She was an excellent speaker, basketball player and ran track.

Mozell attended and joined St. Love All Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the pastoral leadership of Rev. O.S. Davis. She regularly attended Sunday School and BYTU and sang in the Jr. and Sr. choirs for many years. Her dedication to the choirs later warranted the position as president of the Sr. Choir where she served faithfully until her health began to fail. Mozell was employed at Bluebonnet and Sweetbriar Nursing Homes for a long period of time.

Mozell was preceded in death by both parents; one son, Michael Sanders; two brothers, Alvin Lewis and Lamorris Warner.

Mozell leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Melba Sanders of Granger, Texas and Diane McKinney of Killeen, Texas; three sisters, Johnnie Warner of Granger, Texas, Myrtle R. Mathews of Houston, Texas and Daisy L. James of Pflugerville, Texas; two brothers, Charles A. Warner (Cordelia) of Granger, Texas and Donald Jones (Ester) of Taylor, Texas. Four aunts, Ella Mae Nunn of Houston, Texas, Mildred Poole of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Willie Mae Brown of Austin, Texas and Erma White of Granger, Texas. Two granddaughters, Kenisha Pittman and La Tia Blue both of Killeen, Texas. A special and dear friend, Leslie Hill of Taylor, Texas and a host of nieces nephews, relatives and friends.
