Gladys Jennine Hardison-Williams was born to the union of Mr. Oscar Hardison, Sr. and Mrs. Willie B. Hardison on September 12, 1937 in Eagle Lake, Texas.

She professed a love and hope in Christ at an early age. For a period of time in her adult life, she worshiped at home, choosing to be in close fellowship with friends and family. Gladys later reinstated her membership at the Eastside Church of Christ, worshipping there for many years until God called her home.

Gladys received her secondary education at Anderson High School. She loved marching behind the twirlers, stepping high and proud as a majorette.

As a young woman, Gladys was blessed with her first child, Alisia Hardison. Gladys later met and married Clarence Williams, Sr. The family continues to grow with the addition of Clarence Williams, Jr. and Rochellailee "Baby Girl" Williams.

During her career, Gladys landed a job as a Wardrobe Specialist at Robert's Charm Modeling Agency, in San Jose, California. It was here she discovered her passion for fashion and design. As a Wardrobe Specialist, Gladys was responsible for dressing the models for the runway. She adorned the models with glamorous designer fashions. Upon returning to Texas, Gladys' worked at the University of Texas as a cook, until she retired.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Clarence; her parents; and her brothers Jimmy Lee Hardison, Willie Derry Hardison and William Hardison.

She leaves to celebrate her life, her children, Alisa, Clarence Jr. and Rochellailee; sisters, Cory Lue Jackson, Gloria Johnson, Ester Urdy, Julia Anjn Allen and Jill Thomas; brother, Oscar Hardison, Jr.; grandchildren, Kenyon, Robert and Rakim; great-grandson, Miles; and many nieces and nephews.

If you knew Gladys, you knew she loved her children, family and friends. Gladys joyfully walked the runway of life, Taking her curtain call, she has now ascended the stairway to heaven.
