Patsy Mae Wilson was born October 31, 1924, the third child to the late Joe and Julia Wilson. She was affectionately known as "Sister" by her parents and family. Patsy accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age at the Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. She attended public school in Marshall, Texas. After completing three years of education at Bishop College in Marshall, Texas, Patsy left for Washington D.C. to work for then Senator Lyndon Baines Johnson. It was while working for Johnson she met and married Earl E. White, Sr. The couple moved to Austin where they fellowshipped and faithfuly served as members of the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend S. L. Davis. They were blessed with a 50 year union and two children.

Patsy was an exceptional cook, seamstress, and worked several years as a beautician, and Unit Manager at Holy Cross Hospital. For several years she ran her own child care center. Her greaest joys in life were caring for children, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She served faithfully at the Greater Swenson Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend T. E. King, in many capacities including a member of the Mission Auxiliary, Pastor's Aid, as a deaconess, and as a member of the choir until her health began to fail. Patsy was a 22 year renal dialysis survivor. She was called to eternal rest after a valiant and arduous struggle with her health on March 1, 2012.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her huband, Earl E. White, Sr., her son Earl E. White, Jr., three brothers and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Alvin Shaw of Round Rock, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Ethel King White of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren all of Austin, Texas, Adrian (Demetris) Shaw, Katherine White, Felecia Shaw, Earl E. White, III, and Whitney White; six great grandchildren; one brother, Albert (Billie) White, Jr. of Marshall, Texas; three sisters, Mary (Willie) Jones of Dallas, Texas, Carolyn Williams of Marshall, Texas, Bette Johnson of Dallas, Texas; one sister-in-law, Josephine Wilson of Marshall, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
