Pearline Hill was born July 2, 1922 to the parentage of the late Harry and Celia (Brown) Ellis in LaGrange, Texas. She was raised in early years in Friendship, Texas, where she received her education in the Friendship School District.

Pearline accepted Christ at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church, in Friendship, Texas. She later joined St. Love All Baptist Church in Granger, Texas. At her appointed calling by God, she was a member of Teague Jerusalem Temple under the pastoral leadership of Arch-Bishop S. V. Teague, Austin, Texas, until mobility problems lead her to become a home bound member where she continued to serve God daily by helping others any way she could. She always had a kind word for anyone she met and if you knew her well, she could keep you laughing for hours with her funny stories about life.

Pearline was united in holy matrimony to Eddie Hill, Sr. and to this union nine children were born.

Pearline was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Lucile Conner, Eddie Williams, Dorothy Burrell, Willie Chambers and Earline Ellis; one child Ruby Hill; one granddaughter Venita Hill Watson; one great grandson baby De Marius Watson.

She leaves to cherish her memory six sons, Eddie Hill, Jr. (Darleen) of Fort Worth, Texas, Willie Hill (Brenda), Valza Hill (Evette), Joe Hill, Ira Hill, all of Austin, Texas James Hill (Regina) of Taylor, Texas; two daughters, Velma Hill of Manor, Texas and Bennette Terry (Perry) of Austin, Texas; thirty-five grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
