On Saturday, February 11, 2012, at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, the glory train came to escort Larry to the Promise Land.

Larry Louis Zachary was born June 11, 1953, in Taylor, Texas, to Lamon, Sr. and Subelia Zachary who preceded him in death.

Larry was educated in the Taylor, Texas I.S.D. At an early age he united with the church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mack Robinson of Norman's Crossing. As a young adult he married Paula Petty on June 25, 1973, from that union were three children.

Larry joined the U. S. Army and served his country until March 18, 1976, and was honorably discharged. In the late 80's, Larry moved to the Dallas area and was baptized at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, by Rev. D. L. Wilson.

Larry leaves to mourn his passing five children, Brandon Zachary, Brandy Haley, Brittany Zachary, Robert Zachary and William Hughes of California; eight sisters, Betty Simpson, Mary Daniels, Earnestine Hamilton, Ruthie Rahmoune, Lillian Hamilton, Winell, Coleman, Hazel Cook and Yevonne Ware; one brother, Lamon Zachary, Jr.; four brothers-in-law, James Simpson, James Hamilton, Larry Hamilton and Freddy Coleman; one sister-in-law, Barbara Zachary; one uncle, Leo Zachary; a grand number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
