Oscar Ray (Isaiah) Stoglin, III was born November 4, 1943 in Elgin, Texas to Oscar Ray Stoglin, Jr. and Sewilla Simmon Stoglin.

He was raised a Baptist in a Christian home and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Elgin, Texas.

He attended B. T. Washington High School. Oscar was employed at Sta-Krisp in the 1970's and later worked at the University of Texas. He later moved to Temple, Texas and worked in the healthcare field as a laundry worker.

Oscar entered into the Army on June 7, 1967. His basic training was in Fort Poke, Louisiana. Later he was A.I.T., known as Advanced Infantry Training in Arsenal, Alabama. Oscar was then sent to Vietnam where he spent two years of service. While in the military he married Ms. Rose Mary Roberson and later daughter Talisa D. Stoglin was born. Oscar was honorably discharged from the Army on January 31, 1973.

He later united in marriage with Edith M. Evan Stoglin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Stoglin, Jr., mother Sewilla Stoglin and brother Jessie James Stoglin.

He leaves to cherish precious memories one daughter, Talisa Stoglin Lee (Robert); three sisters, Nola M. Stoglin Earthman, Eva M. Stoglin Smith (Joe), both of Austin, Texas, Jessie M. Stoglin Jones (Edward) of Temple, Texas; three grandsons, one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
