She accepted Christ as her savior and was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church before uniting with Nineteenth Street Baptist Church under Pastor M. C. Walker. She faithfully served in the Sunday School, Mission II and Choir at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church.

Louise had a outgoing and loving spirit and was a woman who showed herself to be friendly. Her love of people was exhibited daily in her chosen profession of home health care, which she diligently did for thirty years. Louise had a great love for gospel music and she would often be found in attendance at various musicals throughout the city. Besides her love for gospel music, she had an undying passion for fishing and would often willingly share her last fishing outing.
